Hunter's Safety At Water Valley Lodge
Hunting safety at Water Valley Lodge is a subject that has no compromise. We pratice a variety of methods to insure that hunters have both a safe stay and hunt.
The first thing we do when a hunter/s arrive is show them to the boot room where we have them store their weapons in lockers. This insures that no weapons are in our guest rooms or our vehicles during the Alabama hunting season at Water Valley Lodge.
Secondly we inspect every weapon before the hunters get in a Water Valley Lodge vehicle. This is done before daylight, morning pickup, before leaving for the afternoon hunt and at the evening pickup.
A third thing we do here at Water Valley Lodge is have a safety briefing for each arriving group. There is a short film and talk ending with a signed safety waiver. This insures that each person knows the limitations of the hunt as pertaining to safety.
During the safey lecture, hunters will learn that no alcohol is allowed until the days hunting is over. Overall this may be the most important aspect of safety at Water Valley Lodge during all of the hunting seasons.
No weapons are allowed in any building but the bootroom and all weapons are inspected during and after the hunts. Hunters are briefed on safety and then expected to follow all rules. This set of rules covers all aspects of safety to insure a great visit while hunting with us at Water Valley Lodge. Be it a whitetail deer hunt, a Spring Eastern Turkey hunt, a wild boar/hog hunt, or a quail hunt, at Water Valley Lodge our guest's safety is our first consideration.
